Jim Wilson Crane Service ("we", "us") is a crane rental company based in Ulysses, KS. This page explains what information we collect through this website and what we do with it. If anything here is unclear, call us at (620) 236-9880 and ask.

What we collect

This website is a set of static pages. It uses Google Analytics to understand how the site is used (see “Analytics” below), but it does not run a tag manager or advertising pixels, and reading these pages does not tell us who you are or create an enquiry record with us.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4, a service provided by Google, to see how visitors find and move through the site — which pages are viewed, roughly where visitors are, and what device and browser they use — so we can improve it. To do this, Google Analytics sets cookies and collects your IP address and standard usage data, and Google processes that data on our behalf. It is aggregate, statistical information; we do not use it to identify you personally. You can opt out across all sites with Google’s browser add-on.

We receive information about you when you choose to contact us — by calling (620) 236-9880, by emailing info@kwcranes.com, or by filling in the quote form on our contact page. In each case we hold whatever you tell us, which is usually your name, your phone number or email address, the job location and a description of the lift.

The quote form

The quote form on our contact page is provided by GoHighLevel (also shown as LeadConnector), which we use to receive and keep track of enquiries. The form itself is loaded from GoHighLevel's servers (api.leadconnectorhq.com and link.msgsndr.com), so when a page with the form on it loads, your browser contacts them directly and they may set cookies or similar identifiers as part of running the form.

What you type into that form goes to GoHighLevel and then to us. We use it to quote and schedule your job, exactly as we would if you had phoned. If you would rather not use the form, call us — the phone is the fastest way to get a crane priced, and it always has been.

Text messages and email

If you give us your phone number — on the quote form or over the phone — you consent to receive automated and non-automated messages from Jim Wilson Crane Service about your enquiry and your job, including SMS text messages, email and phone calls.

We do not share your mobile number or your text-message consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes. Marketing messages are only sent if you separately opted in to them, and opting out of those does not stop us contacting you about a job you have actually booked.

Data security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect the information you give us. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, though, so we cannot promise absolute security — please do not send us anything sensitive that we have not asked for.

As with any website, our hosting provider processes standard technical request data (such as IP address and browser type) in order to serve the page and to protect the site from abuse.

How we use it

To quote your job, schedule the crane, do the work, invoice you, and talk to you about it afterwards. That is the whole list.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your information.
• We do not rent, trade or share your information with third parties for their own marketing.
• We do not add you to a marketing list just because you called us for a quote — marketing only goes to people who separately opted in to it.

We may share information where we have to in order to do the job — for example with a transporter or another contractor on the same lift — or where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Job records, quotes and invoices are kept as long as we need them for business and tax purposes. Enquiries that do not turn into work are not kept indefinitely.

Your choices

Children

This site is aimed at people hiring cranes. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we add analytics, advertising tags or call tracking to this site, we will update this page to say so and change the date at the top. See also our Terms of Service.
